L'Engineering Ltd. Groupe AES, la négociation comme AESSEAL, a reçu le Prix de la Reine pour l'entreprise: commerce international 2011.

Jonathan Wilkinson, Chief Executive Officer, said “AES Engineering Limited and its subsidiaries AESSEAL have previously won 11 Queen’s Awards since 1988. I joined AES Engineering Ltd. as part of the Graduate Development Programme in 1993. Each Queen’s Award gives the company the right to use the Queen’s Award emblem for 5 years. Between 1993 and 2011, my whole working life with the business, we have had continuous use of the emblem, often for multiple awards.

In January 2011 I was promoted to the AES Engineering Ltd. Board. I am delighted that one of my first achievements has been to help ensure that AESSEAL can use the Queen’s Award emblem for a further 5 years, as we at AESSEAL feel proud and privileged to associate our brand with the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.”

AES Engineering Ltd. has been trading since 1979. It designs and manufactures mechanical seals and sealing systems which are used in rotating equipment, such as pumps, to prevent liquids and gasses escaping into the environment. It is the fourth largest mechanical seal manufacturer in the world and reports that it has a customer retention rate of 90% and a satisfaction rating of 99% (according to Customer Satisfaction Surveys).

Over the last 6 years the company reports that its overseas earnings have more than doubled and over three quarters of its output is now exported to more than 100 countries. AESSEAL reports that Group sales were £104 million in 2010 compared to £84.2 million in 2009 and the sales budget is £120 million for 2011. In 1988, when the company won its first Queen’s Award Group sales were £2.09 million. The company believes that its success is due to continual investment in high technology and exceptional pre and post sales services, which enables it to compete with an estimated 1000 companies around the world who are manufacturing similar products.
